Network
Monitoring Center
The
Network Monitoring Centre provides
a number of services to RTÉ NL
itself, RTÉ NL customers and
partners, and to the general public.
Its service includes;
- Off air monitoring for both TV
and Radio
- Monitoring of radio signals and
RDS from all main transmitter sites
via Golden Eagle Audemat monitoring
facility.
- Monitoring of our broadcast customers
SKY satellite signals, TV and Radio.
- Communication with regional staff
and management regarding Network
operations.
- Communication with Broadcast
Customers regarding outages and
faults, planned and unplanned.
- Communication with Broadcast
Customers regarding outages and
faults, planned and unplanned.
- Central point of contact for
regional Engineers working alone.
Provide a tracking facility for
Engineers working alone.
- Central point of contact for
Communications Customers requesting
access to Network sites.
- Central point of contact for
Broadcast Customers requesting
access to Network sites.
- Central point of contact for
the public. The NMC handles calls
relating to reception problems
and offer advice relating to frequencies
and transmitter coverage areas.
- Maintain a data base of Network
Outages, planned and unplanned.
- Issue reports to our Broadcast
Customers for planned and unplanned
outages.

All site access
is controlled by the NMC, Site
Access Forms must be submitted
7 days prior to requested date
and the NMC will issue a works
No. The NMC must also be informed
by telephone when you enter and
exit an RTÉ NL site.
The NMC is staffed during
the following times:
Monday to
Friday from 07.00 to 00.00
hr
Saturday & Sunday from 08.00
to 22.00 hr

Outside of these hours the NMC telephones
are forwarded to voicemail, and any
messages recorded will be acted on
the following morning. In emergency
situations outside of NMC hours Broadcast
Customers can generate a callout
for a particular region through the
paging system. See contact details
at the end of this document.
